As I have spent the past several days with a couple of college freshmen I can't help but wonder where they will be in 4 years? Both have come to this milestone in life by different paths, yet are now headed to the same goal - graduation!

Both are serious thinkers ... always thinking ahead about the possibilities. I can only believe that this will make them both highly successful ...

Yes I admit ... I have MISSED this face!  I  know it has only been a couple of weeks, but still .....

I know that she is going through a lot of things that she doesn't like, enjoy or want to do .. but it is my hope that she sees the rainbow in the end! 

It is also my hope that she knows .. maybe unwilling to admit (at least now) that SHE CAN do this! 

And I will be there every step of the way to help ....

Today we will leave our Soldier again as he continues on for advanced training. We will go home knowing he has done his best, and will continue to do so ...

We leave here not sad ... but proud. Proud not only of his accomplishments, but for his future as well ...

We will miss you, but know you will be home soon!

Sometimes my kids just make me laugh ... they are good sports.  As I drag out my camera ... this is the face that automatically appears!

I keep telling them that I need "practice" so they give in and let me play.  I honestly think that my kids secretly like it when I make them come out of their "shell" ... to allow them to express how they really feel ... to be comfortable in their own skin.

I recently saw a picture of my older daughter taken by someone else ... and you know what?  She gave them the same goofy face she gives me ...  I have to believe that I had something to do with that....

Time .... It can be many things.  It can be your enemy ... it can be your friend.  Time can be painful, but then it can also heal.

As we grow in experience and wisdom I think we learn how to use time more effectively ... not just in being efficient but it solving problems and in human relationships.

Sometimes the "time" is just not right.  Learning to recognize those situations can be a gift.  Yesterday for me the time was not right in dealing with my daughter ... she needed to wait.

Yet today I am hoping that the time is right for healing old wounds....
